Encinitas is a Spanish name meaning “little oaks”.  It is comprised of five areas-Old Encinitas, New Encinitas, Leucadia, Olivenhain, and Cardiff-by-the-Sea-fiercely unique in their own ways! They all have their own flavor, and that’s the appeal of Encinitas.

Old Encinitas is a small beachside area featuring a mix of businesses and housing styles. The Encinitas welcome arch and famous surf break Swamis and the early 20th century La Paloma Theater are located here.

Encinitas’ main drag, the Pacific Coast Highway, runs past multifarious businesses, from the surf shops and fish-taco stands to historic La Paloma Theatre and world renowned yoga centers. This is very much a mind-body-spirit-oriented community.

One of the city’s best views is from the Meditation Gardens, on the south end of Second Street. Its lush landscape proves the validity of the town’s oft-mentioned moniker: the flower capital of the world. Everywhere in this bloom-blessed town lingers sweet scents, most notably jasmine, carried inland by the constant ocean breeze.

Both inside and out this home exudes Encinitas character and a beach home retreat that can’t be replicated. This 5496 square foot resort sits on nearly half an acre.  It offers 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, wine cellar, wine tasting room, media room, pool/spa, putting green and more! It is the perfect multigenerational home with additional full entertaining area, stunning ocean views from most rooms and close to everything Old Encinitas has to offer. Just steps from Moonlight Beach, above Cottonwood Park with community tennis courts, picnic areas and a playground, walking distance from downtown where you will find well known restaurants, boutiques, coffee shops, a weekly farmers market, the train station and La Paloma theatre!

Dramatic sunsets, stunning nighttime skyline views and just a stroll away from downtown – there is no finer setting to call home. For the person who wants the ultimate 2nd home, vacation rental or multigenerational property that fully captures the essence of Old Encinitas living, this is a home not to be missed!
