Liberty Station is one of the longest standing historical monuments in San Diego.  It was originally San Diego’s Naval Training Center, and welcomed its first recruits in 1923.  The training center continued to expand during World War II, and became a valuable defense resource for the United States.  Even its architecture offers a nod to the past with its Spanish Colonial Revival style structures and buildings.  Liberty station boasts plenty of critically acclaimed dining locations, including Soda & Swine, The Lot, and Solare Ristorante Italiano.  Visitors will not be disappointed by the rich history, or by the array of amazing food options.
