On this episode of The Real Podcast powered by FB Live, we spoke with Laura Andert of Pacificy Sotheby’s International Realty. Laura is a past client of ours, turned student of The Art of Real Estate Course taught by David A. Moya, founder and director of VideoSellsRealEstate.  Laura shares her experience in the Real Estate Industry and ways she strategies during the slower quarters of the year. Laura shares advice, suggestions and strategies on how to stay on top of this ever changing market.

Laura has been a follower of VSRE Instagram for over two years before she gave us a call to work with her on a recent listing, Encinitas Modern Farmhouse. With Laura’s extensive well rounded twenty-year knowledge, she sheds light on how to prepare, grow and survive in this industry.

When we have guests on The REAL podcast usually they are past clients and continued friends. It’s when we have a past report I like to ask this specific question, “How did we meet?” Laura’s contacted us to film one of her properties in Encinitas a little over a year ago. However, we found out that Laura was also one of our Instagram followers for over the years!

“I’ve been following you for a long time, watching a lot of your videos….I’d like to say I stalked you for a few years.”

Laura started in the real estate industry in the early 2000’s with her father in helping him purchase investment properties. This sparked her interest in the industry and in 2002 Laura decided that she wanted to earn a Real Estate License. Prior to becoming a top real estate agent, Laura was working in the design and photography industry, owning a storefront retail shop. Unlike Laura, this is a common story among the professionals in the industry. Real Estate is mostly always a second career choice and it these leaders with diverse backgrounds shape the industry.

Laura has a creative eye for design and it’s during this project of her listing of Encinitas Modern Farmhouse where she was able to use her expertise of photography and design. It was her very idea to incorporate actors into the video but the spin of it is, the actors are also the owners of the house. What a fun way to sell a property by incorporating the actually owners and it also works as a keepsake for when they do sell the property.

“Emulate and build your brand around what resonates with you and be passionate about what you do.”
Laura lives in North County San Diego along the coastline with her two beautiful children. Laura’s pastimes including skiing, exploring the great outdoors and photography. (We’d hope video would be her new pastime now since completing The Art of Real Estate Course.
