Located at the north point of Leucadia, Grandview Beach, a California State Park. It is a narrow beach below the high bluffs that are topped with coastal beach houses and condos which have a “grand view” of the ocean. To access Grandview beach, there is a long wooden stairway leading to the beach from the parking lot at the north end of Neptune Avenue near Grandview Street. During high tide there is not much beach access, however during low tide there is enough beach to walk.
Beacon’s Beach known by the locals, technically “South Leucadia State Beach” however have been called Beacon’s for years. A local surf spot accessed by a narrow trial with three switchbacks descends the bluff face. Head just south of Leucadia “south beach” you will find a tucked away gem.
Stone Steps Beach, this is locals favorite as it is off-the-beaten-track and hard for tourist to find. With a large concrete and stone stairway that descends the steep crumbly bluff to the narrow beach below, which its names come from.
Driving down the coast highway where you will see tree lined streets mixed in with trendy restaurants and a perfect mix of local businesses. From cafe’s, surf shops and breweries, like local favorites Coffee Coffee and Saint Archer Brewing Company, Leucadia has something for everyone.
