On this episode of The REAL Podcast, we sat down with luxury Del Mar Realtor, Lindsay Dunlap to discuss how one simple question changed the way she viewed her journey to success…”Why not you?”

Prior to film day, Lindsay and our team decided to take a mid-day break from filming a property video for one of her newest listings in Rancho Santa Fe, CA to film the episode. The reasoning behind doing it in the middle of the day was to take advantage of the lighting both for the Podcast and property video. It worked out perfectly.

Though today Lindsay is a top-producing Del Mar Realtor in San Diego, her journey didn’t start off like that. Initially, Lindsay was interested in pursuing a career in Psychology.  She attended California State University, San Marcos and graduated in May 2004 with a bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Lindsay’s love of people lead her into the financial industry where she became a financial adviser for a top company in San Diego, CA. Shortly after, her attention shifted to the financial side of real estate. She became a loan processor and then quickly thereafter a senior loan officer.

In April of 2007, Lindsay became the Sales Director and Marketing Specialist for a top producing team and later became a Foreclosure and Short Sale Specialist, overseeing hundreds of transactions from start to finish. With aspirations to sell extraordinary luxury and coastal homes, Lindsay relocated her business to Del Mar in 2015. A mover and shaker, Lindsay successfully exceeded $30M in annual sales in 2016 and 2017 receiving the Recognition of Excellence Award by the San Diego Association of Realtors (SDAR). Then in 2018 was awarded the Platinum Recognition of Excellence Award for exceeding $50M in individual annual sales.

Lindsay’s believes her mindset and work ethic stem from her upbringing, specifically how her parents taught her to think. Her father engrained in her a sense of purpose, ability and drive. He saw Lindsay as being a mover and shaker. He instinctively knew that she would one day want to be her own boss. Similarly, Lindsay’s mother instilled in her the courage and confidence she has today by telling her ‘If you put your mind to it, you can do it too.’

A year ago, Lindsay decided to partner with Compass to elevate her business to the next level. Backed by some of the most successful investors and entrepreneurs in the world, Compass has quickly expanded into major markets across the nation.

Lindsay thrives on being professional, ethical, fun and approachable. She believes in going above and beyond for her clients, partners and fellow Realtors. Though the real estate industry is constantly changing, Lindsay’s killer instinct has allowed her to reach new levels of success year in and year out.

She’s a proud mom to two beautiful girls and loves to be involved in her kids lives from school to sports. She’s married to an entrepreneurial husband who also loves supporting Lindsay in her real estate career.
