Chula Vista, Calif., May 21, 2018 – Chula Vista Animal Care Facility received some tender loving care to the temporary home of desirable four legged critters. For it’s “Focused Acts of Caring” campaign, Lennar San Diego contributed time, resources and energy to a facility that was in dire need of some major improvements.
Lennar Home Construction Company, trade partners and over one hundred volunteers stepped in to give Chula Vista Animal Care Facility a Cinderella Story they’ll never forget. Improvements included; repaving a parking lot, repaired gates, installed rain gutters, spruced up landscape, and added a fresh layer of paint.
Former Mayor of Chula Vista, Cheryl Cox, who is actively involved in community outreach, came out to support this cause and give her time, “It’s just incredible, it’s overwhelming to look at the number of that people out here today who are pouring a parking lot.”
“The rain gutter have been on our priority list for a couple years now,” said Many Mills, Chula Vista Animal Care Facility Administrator. “We’re beyond words with amazement and grateful that they just came in and put up these gutters in such a short notice.”

“It’s a great community, they’re very involved and we’re just happy to be a part of it to help take care of some of their needs,” said Bill Ostrem, President Lennar San Diego Division.
