Intro

What got you into real estate?
- Prior to my real estate career I worked for a company everyone knows, I worked for Nordstrom for 15 years. Retail is hard work and I was ready to leave and make a change. I came home one day and told my husband I was done with retail. He asked me what I wanted to do, I said I didn’t know. He asked me what I liked to do and I said I like people and sales. He said ‘ Honey, you need to sell real estate’.
Born & raised in California?
- Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago. Came to San Diego in the early 1980’s.

Let’s talk about your success. Volume? Team?
- 25 years of selling real estate as of January 2021. Was the #1 agent for Coldwell Banker RSF for 5 years and consistently have held a Top Producer position. Started with PSIR in October 2019 in the Village of Rancho Santa Fe. My Associate John Farris works with me on listings, assisting with showings and overall he is a terrific real estate agent and lender in Rancho Santa Fe for over 30 years.
What makes you so passionate about real estate?
- I love the business! The psychology, the negotiation, the marketing, assisting people as they purchase one of the largest purchases in their lives and of course seeing fabulous properties.
What do you attribute your success to?
- Hard work, being consistent and competent. Also incorporating current technologies and concepts as they work for me. Using new ideas and steadfast sales systems in unison. I do direct mail to my past clients every month and have for the last 21 years!
What are some things you’ve discovered about being a realtor that you may have not thought about prior to starting your career in real estate?
- It’s not HGTV or Million Dollar Listing! It is not the norm to show 3 houses and the client buys one.
- In addition, I discovered the real skill is understanding people and truly working to create win-win scenarios.
What advice do you have for a new realtor or someone coming into the industry?
- Find a seasoned agent that you like and mentor with them. Invaluable.

What helps you get inspired everyday?
- I have been working with a life coach for over 35 years. A better me makes everything and everyone around me thrive.I enjoy what I do. Strong work ethic. Natural entrepreneur.
Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
- Staying the course, creating a small group of like minded people who work in harmony to empower each other.
