One thing I hear time and time again is “How do I start marketing myself and my brand via video?” This question is really the reason behind my speaking series and especially for this type of real estate video marketing workshop. Over the past eight years I saw a need for real estate agents to self-produce their own video content, thus the real estate video marketing workshop was born.
VideoSellsRealEstate.com, provides state-of the art cinematography services to help market properties, lifestyles and brands. The company prides itself in being meticulous & creative during each state of production. However, our team recognized a need. Our team is always ready to help our real estate clients when it comes to high-end videography but I specifically wanted to address the elephant in the room with this series, and that is how does a Realtor begin and remain consistent when it comes to real estate video marketing.

Today, smartphones have some of the best technology that will help real estate agents produce their own videos efficiently, effectively and consistently.
Specifically in this workshop, I discuss that there are three main phases; Create, Publish and Share.
Phase One is all about Creating content.
- Written word – by creating a blog post of at least 350 words.
- Photos – Self-captured pictures/photos from your smartphone, stock photos. These photos can be saved and re-purposed from blog post to social media outlets.
- Video – Creating videos that communicate your brand effectively. Video can be self-produced easily via smartphones, earphones, and natural lighting (sunlight). These video can be edited on the smartphone via desired app.
Phase Two is all about getting all your work Published onto one location that you control. This content is to be syndicated to social media in Phase Three (Share).
- Essentially, we’re just Publishing the content on a designated website (preferably via WordPress.org). Hosting content on a listed domain will build and store your content that is owned by you and your business where you can re-publish to external sites, links, and syndicating on social media channels.
- Optimizing your blog post through search engines by utilizing key phrases, titles, links, keywords and hashtags.
- Publish your blog post on a Schedule, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Annually. The key is to be consistent.
Phase Three is all about Sharing your work on social media.
Share your content that is being housed on your website to your designated social media channels/accounts.
Examples: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat, YouTube, Vimeo, LinkedIn, Flickr, Tumblr, etc.
Once you start creating content consistently through your blog post and share that regularly on your social media channels, you are well on your way to creating a solid real estate video marketing system that you will reap the benefits of for years to come.
