In this episode of The REAL Podcast (a Facebook Live series), we were elated to bring on friend and client of VideoSellsRealEsate. San Diego Association of Realtors Rookie of the Year, Kimberly Koll of Sotheby’s International Realty®. Kim shared her first memory of when real estate came into her life. As a little kid, Kim took joy in reading the local newspaper, “The Poway News Chieftain“ and would always jump all the way to the real estate listings section for fun. The admiration for homes was the start of an amazing journey in the real estate industry. Little to Kim’s knowledge in her involvement in the industry would soon become apparent.
Hailing from a family that takes pride in buying and selling their own home, it was tradition in Kim’s family for everyone to have their real estate license. “Everyone in our family has their real estate license, it’s just what you did.” Grandfather, Ron Bragg started a successful and renowned real estate brokerage in Los Angeles back in the 60’s. However, destined it was for Kim to go into real estate she had her eye on another profession. Kim wanted to be a news anchor and went to school at the University of San Diego. It was while Kim attended University and in the lack of successful communication programs but a new masters program in real estate. And the rest was history.
Kim has proven in being a successful agent as she was a recent recipient of her accomplishments. She was recognized for selling over $15+ million dollars in real estate as an individual. Not only is this an amazing accomplishment Kim was recognized in the 40 under 40 category by her peer group, as well as recognized for the Realtor Designation award! This is a true testament to all of Kim’s hard work and dedication in providing the best service for her clients!
Success can be attributed by so many factors and facets in what life has to throw at us. Kim explains that her success was attributed from the trials and tribulations of overcoming postpartum anxiety, which she is very open in talking about and sharing this story with those around her. Taking a big risk in facing her fears, she hit the ground running by getting back to work shortly after her last child was born. From her many open houses to broker caravans in getting her name back out in the industry, has helped her getting over this anxiety.
Kimberly has taken the reigns of owning and running her own business and in the last two years has shown that she is a force to be reckoned with. We are so excited to see Kim grow and flourish the industry and we wish her the best of luck. Kimberly resides in Poway, San Diego with her husband who is a naval officer with their two children.
