Tim and Allison are an authentic real estate power couple with an entrepreneurial mindset. They’ve been working together for almost ten years, in a fast-paced sales environment as a power real estate couple and property investors.

Allison was born and raised in Encinitas, Ca also lived and worked in Toronto, ON, where Tim is originally from. Tim graduated with a B.A. from Spring Arbor University and M.Sc. from McMaster University. Allison graduated with a B.A. from Boston College. Tim began his real estate career by buying his first property, a condo and renovating it himself. He sold that for an unexpected profit, which he used to purchase other investment properties.

Tim was working as a Medical Sales Rep and Allison working in the travel industry when they first started renovating homes. It was only natural that they turned into full time Real Estate Agents and Property Investors. It was when opportunities arose with both their passion of buying/selling homes and investing wisely turned into great success in the real estate industry.

Q(David): What makes you so passionate about real estate?

A(Team Shepstones):We love seeing the potential in properties for our clients.  Whether it is the chance to find a turn key dream home or a fixer upper for our clients to transform into their dream home. The investment portion also really drives us. We firmly believe in the value of income properties and own our own. Q(David): What do you attribute your success to?

A(Team Shepstones): It derives from the passion we have for real estate, but to truly be successful, we believe you must be educated and experienced.  You have to know your market. Understand values, and know the comps.  You have to know houses. It’s a huge benefit to know how houses are built and what it costs to build and renovate them.

Q(David): What helps you get inspired everyday?

A(Tim): Helping someone find their new home or investment opportunity. Hitting it out of the park for a listing, negotiating top dollar for them, helping them present their home as best it can be presented and finding hidden gems and hunting for potential listings.

A(Allison): Creating something new, beautiful and more functional. Actualizing a vision. For the Airbnb, I’m a born host and I love helping people to actualize their dream vacation and fall in love with our community, the way we have.
